A Matter of Wife and Love Chapter 15 You Are Worth It
It was Blake!
The crowd drew a collective breath as everyone's eyes turned to Blake. Amelie also looked at him in surprise.
"Mr. Gareth, you—" Elyse looked over in confusion as he stood up.
"Miss Clayton, you want to wear it on your wedding day, but it just happens that I want to get married too. My lover likes it so much, so I must get it for her!"
This time, Leo did not bid anymore. He glanced at Amelie, then led Elyse away without saying a word. Blake obtained the diamond tiara, and after paying the final payment, he gave it to Amelie. "Amelie, here you go."
"You placed the bid on this for me?" She looked at him in surprise and thought he had obtained it just for the girl he loved!
"Yes." He nodded seriously.
"Are you crazy? You paid 100 million for it?"
100 million!
Amelie knew that this was almost all of Blake's savings.
"This diamond tiara is not worth the price at all. There is absolutely no need for you to be such a fool!" She almost died of heartache from his wasted savings.
"The diamond tiara is not worth it, but you are worth it." His tone was still serious, and his gaze on her was shining brightly.
She seemed to see a sort of admiration in his eyes.
I must be imagining it.
At the auction house entrance, Elyse caught up with Leo with some effort while holding her dress. "Leo, it's just a diamond tiara; I don't mind."
She put on a considerate look.
"I did not bid on the diamond tiara for you," he said indifferently.
A Matter of Wife and Love Chapter 16 So Much Wealth
"You're divorced! Why do you still talk to her?" Julia said angrily when she knew that Melissa was looking for Amelie.
Amelie stared at the phone screen for a while. "Melissa has never been willing to talk to me much. This time, she called in person, so there must be something important. We should meet up with her."
Although Julia was upset, she still sent Amelie to the meeting place. When Amelie walked in, Melissa had already arrived and was sitting on a chair. Seeing Amelie, she lowered her head and took a sip of coffee before saying coldly, "Sit down."
She had this ability of letting Amelie know that the latter was just a lowly animal in front of her by just using her expression without saying even one hostile word.
Amelie did not listen to her as she did in the past. Standing some distance away, she said lightly, "Mrs. Alston, just tell me what you want."
Melissa's brows visibly furrowed, clearly implying that Amelie was rude, but she did not reprimand Amelie and just nodded her chin at the person next to her. "This is my lawyer, Mr. Henry Jute."
Henry stepped out and said, "Miss Dillon, since you and Mr. Alston have divorced, you should also make a decision on the issue of child support."
"The child? She belongs to me; of course, I'm raising her," Amelie replied without thinking.
"Don't forget that the child is my granddaughter!" Melissa reminded coldly, her drooping eyelids full of disdain for Amelie and her ignorance.
This made Amelie laugh. "Mrs. Alston, it's rare for you to remember that you have a granddaughter."
Since Bria's birth, Melissa had never carried her, and every time she saw her, she would put on the same expression she had on now. It was as if Bria was just a pet at home.
A Matter of Wife and Love Chapter 17 Experienced
Today was the day to sign the contract. Although Jimmy Goldstein was the representative of the collaboration company, he arrived late at 10.00AM. Not only was he late, but he was also wearing a suspender that held his newborn daughter.
"Sorry, I was feeding my daughter, so I came a few minutes late." Jimmy apologized to those present.
Even though he had an apologetic look, there was also pride on his face.
After he finished speaking, he put an arm around the baby and picked up the contract with the other hand. Feeling uncomfortable, the child twisted her little body and whimpered. Jimmy immediately put down the contract and patted the little baby's back to coax her.
Leo, who was sitting across from him, looked at him with obvious disgust on his face. "The Goldstein Family is huge. Can't you afford a nanny?"
When Jimmy heard Leo's words, he was not only not ashamed, but he also looked reproachful. "You have a child too. Can't you understand my feelings of becoming a father?"
His words startled Leo, who did not respond for a long time. Although he became a father, he did not pay much attention to Bria. At the beginning, he was too busy with work and had no time. Later, when the child was older, she would hide every time she saw him. Leo never owed anyone in his life, but he did owe the child.
"Well, you and Amelie should not have divorced for the sake of the child." After signing the contract, Toby could not help but persuade Leo. "The child is yours. She no longer has a family, so who else will be kind to her? Aren't you afraid that she will become pitiful in the future?"
"We're already divorced; what's the use of talking about it now?" Leo said sullenly.
"Can’t you get back together?"
"It's because she knows they can remarry that Amelie dared to divorce." Ashton spoke up on the other side.
A Matter of Wife and Love Chapter 18 Egg On Leo’s Face
It was Elyse.
Even after Leo saw Elyse, his mood did not improve. "Why are you here?"
"I…"
"I'm gonna deal with the wound." He had no patience at all tonight. Before Elyse finished speaking, he pulled his hand away and strode inside.
"Fortunately, you are back. If you don't come back, I will be driven crazy by Julia."
In a secluded area, Amelie was speechless as she looked at her attire today, which was what Julia forced her to wear. Julia had said she could use this image to evoke the desire to protect of all young men on the scene, and then Amelie could find a man who wanted to protect only her in this life.
Samuel naturally knew how rambunctious his woman was behaving behind his back, so there was a helpless smile on the corner of his lips. "Where is she and Bria?"
"They're almost here."
As soon as Amelie's voice fell, Julia and Bria appeared at the end of the corridor. The sight of Samuel surprised Bria.
"Say hello to Mr. Gage," Amelie said quickly.
Bria walked over and grabbed Samuel's hand. "Hello, Dad."
Amelie was speechless. Samuel probably did not expect to be called 'Dad' suddenly, so he was stunned on the spot. Only Julia covered her mouth with a playful smile. "Yes, it's okay to call him 'Dad'."
She was now Bria's godmother, and Samuel was naturally her godfather.
"Dad, take me there to play!" Since Julia said that there was nothing wrong with it, Bria believed that she was right as she pointed to the bright light in front of her.
A Matter of Wife and Love Chapter 19 A Sinner
Amelie looked at the sky, feeling ludicrous.
"No need."
She refused immediately.
Leo's face turned ghastlier for a while. "It's not easy to get a cab here. How can the child suffer the cold wind with you?"
Since Amelie drove her car here, they did not have to suffer any cold wind. However, it would be unsafe to put the asleep Bria on the car seat. Thinking of this, she finally stopped and followed Leo to his car. She noticed the injury on Leo's hand and stopped him when he was about to open the door of the car.
"Why don't I drive? You can hold Bria for me at the back."
"You can drive?" There was an obvious surprise on Leo's face.
She did not just "know" how to drive.
After Amelie lived for four years in the Alston Family, Leo did not know that she could drive. That was enough to prove how much he ignored her.
Amelie did not say much. She just hummed and took the key from him. Leo said nothing and got into the car. When Amelie handed the child to him, he was completely at a loss.
"Just hold her head." Amelie raised his arms a little higher and leaned the child's small head on his chest.
Leo dared not move. Looking down, he saw the child's pink cheek leaning against his chest. Her fine hair was fluffy, and at that moment there was a hint of softness in his heart.
Amelie did not say anything. She got in the car and started the car at once. Not wanting Leo to know where she lived, she drove the car to a convenient place to call a cab and stopped. "We're here; thank you, Mr. Alston."
After she finished speaking, she took Bria from his arms and walked forward.

Noreen Wheeler stared at the ceiling as she lay on the bed, her sweat seeping through the mattress.

Legally, he was her husband.
His name was Henrik Sanchez, and he was a car mechanic.
Getting married to him out of impulse was one of the two most outrageous things she had done in her pathetic life.
The other one was running away from the wedding.

Chapter 1 Surprise form my husband
"So, is this your goal, to divorce me, Damian?" shouted Glara as she stood at the threshold of her house, stunned by the scene before her.
Initially, Glara came to retrieve her belongings left in the house, but she was confronted with a bitter reality that further tore at her heart. "For days, I isolated myself and blamed myself for not being a good wife, until you chose to separate. Is this really what you wanted?" Glara poured out her feelings.
"If it is, why?" Damian replied casually, throwing a mocking glance her way.
"How long have you two been having an affair without my knowledge?"
Damian sighed lazily. "That's none of your business!" He ignored Glara's presence, focusing instead on the vendor's staff arranging chairs and the wedding decorations.
"Who is Damian?" Damian's mother asked from inside their house. "Oh, this poor woman, what is she doing here again?" she remarked after scrutinizing Glara from head to toe. "Oh, you're here to pick up your rotten belongings, right? Wait a moment!" The middle-aged woman nodded and hurried into the house, specifically into the room where Glara and Damian used to live.

Chapter 1 A ball and a letter
In the pride of England, the clouds were dark and it was about to rain. But a little boy ran through the streets, his eyes fixed on the grand home of the Sinclair family. His feet pounded the cobblestone road as he rushed towards the door, a letter clutched tightly in his hand. It was addressed to Lady Elizabeth, the daughter of the wealthy merchant.
As the boy arrived, he was greeted by the butler who led him to the drawing-room where Elizabeth was sitting. Her strawberry blonde hair was pinned back, her dress immaculate, and her posture regal. She was everything the boy had imagined a lady to be.
"Excuse me, milady," the boy said, panting. "I have a letter for you."
There were two letters, Elizabeth took one and her sister took the other letter from the boy and thanked him before dismissing him. She opened the letter, her curiosity piqued. It was an invitation to a ball hosted by the Earl of Ashworth, one of the most prominent nobles in London. Elizabeth had heard of him but had never met him. She was excited at the prospect of attending his ball and meeting new people.
With a smile on her face, Elizabeth asked her maid to prepare her for the ball. She knew that it was going to be an eventful night, and she was eager to make the most of it. Little did she know, that night would be the start of a journey that would change her life forever.

Chapter 1 1. Brokenhearted
"Let's break up,"
"What? W-what do you mean?" Grace stammered. A cold sweat started rolling down her back.
"I want to end this relationship," Victor said.
"B-but we've only been dating for two months. Why do you want to break up? What did I do wrong?" The girl asked, almost crying.
"I realized that I've been feeling uncomfortable with you." The boy with thin lips let out a long sigh. "I don't know about you, but I really want to break up. Please don't bother me anymore. Live well. Goodbye,"
Grace was stunned as she watched Victor walk away, leaving her alone in the cafe near their campus. Victor Sbastian; her first love, whom she had a crush on for six years - since high school.
Tears trickled down Grace's cheeks. Her chest felt tight, as if she were drowning in the deepest sea on earth. She cried alone, like a stupid girl.

Chapter 1 1. Hatred At First Sight
This young lady has a lot to say to her mother. She isn't willing to join them for the introductory dinner tonight. She can't be in an arranged marriage. She just can't digest the fact that her parents are the ones instigating this whole scheme.
The door opens and Mrs Valerie Summers steps into the room with a tray. On it sits a glass water vase and a cup. Her smile fades on seeing Adrien seated at her dresser, not at all ready for dinner. Valerie is about to say something when Adrien cuts in.
"Mum! Please don't let this happen. I barely know this man. I can't believe you and Dad are making me marry for business gains. Most marriages that begin this way end up badly. I ran into his sister at the mall the other day and she wasn't nice at all. How will I keep up with a family of snobs!"
"Adrien!"
Mrs. Summers flings the glass vase onto the wall. The young girl uses her hands to cover her ears as the glass vase shatters loudly. She looks up at her mother who towers over her with a glare and accusing fingers pointing at her.

Chapter 1 MR. CEO
“Get out of my sight you incompetent thing! Mr. Clark screamed, holding the broken pieces of his most expensive vase in his trembling hands.
The maid, Camille, stood far apart, shaking visibly and most importantly, waiting. Waiting for the words that would determine her next line of action.
She had committed the most unforgivable act and she knew that Mr. Clark would never consider the fact that she had been the family maid for several months.
Then she remembered that Mr. Clark did not like to repeat himself, so she already knew her fate.
Taking one last glance at the fury in Mr. Clark's eyes, she scurried away holding back the tears in her eyes.
"I will consider the fact that you have served us for several months and that my kids love you. But never forget that these are the only reasons you are still here. One more strike and you are out! Do I make myself clear, Camille?!" Mr. Adrien warned, his bold voice resounding throughout the room.
Camille shivered a little, before answering.
"Ye…yes, sir Clark. Thank you so much" she nodded, tracing the lines on her hands.
Mr. Clark was ruthless and she was lucky that the very few people that mattered to him loved her.

Chapter 1 1
Linda Martins POV
"Miss Martins, come into my office, now!!." I heard my boss, Tyler Smith, echoed through the bustling office.
Despite me throwing colorful curses his way, I quickly made my way to his office. "Miss Martins, I need the report on this month's car accessory sales. Also, ask the accounts department to send me the file on accounts. Schedule a meeting with Mr. William for the day after tomorrow." He continued giving me instructions without even looking at me. How rude, I thought to myself
"And have you arranged for my dinner meeting?"
"Yes, sir," I replied, still cursing him in my mind.
"Ensure the document brief is completed before the end of the work hours. You may leave now." He said without a speck of humility.
"Okay, sir." I nodded, already dreading the workload he had just thrown my way
I left the office and headed straight to the bathroom, where upon entering I locked the door and screamed in frustration in face front of the mirror. I looked my face and could not believe what I was seeing, my once happy, colourful face has now become tired and colourless and it is all thanks to one person, the great Tyler Smith.
I was so frustrated to the extent that I slammed my hands on the counter, however it only hurt me, which in return annoyed me because of the futility of my action.
As I glanced at my reflection in the mirror, it seemed to mock me for the predicament I found myself in. I asked myself why I had chosen to work with this human-machine that does not seem to possess any emotion.

Chapter 1 The Divorce Agreement
"Philip, this is the divorce agreement. I've already signed it. Please give it to Carlos."
Debbie Nelson plucked up her courage and handed the signed agreement to Philip Brown, the steward of the Hilton family.
Philip was shocked by the words "divorce agreement". His first thought was that Debbie wanted to get a divorce so as to carve up the property that belonged to Carlos Hilton.
But as he looked through the document, he saw that she wanted to give up everything, including her share of the mutual property.
Philip heaved a heavy sigh. "Debbie, why are you being ridiculous? Why would you want to divorce Mr. Hilton and even choose to give up your property?"
Debbie was only a college student, and she had no parents. It was unwise for her to ask for a divorce now, much less give up her property that was worth quite a fortune.
Embarrassed, Debbie looked away and scratched the back of her head. "Carlos and I have been married for three years, but our marriage only exists on paper. I don't want to waste my time on him anymore," she admitted, instead of hiding the reason from Philip.

Chapter 1 Her Husband Cheated On Her
"Your husband is cheating on you!"
Miriam Dunstan was making a final revision to a wedding dress design when she received the call from her best friend, Patricia Mitchell.
Hearing Patricia's statement, Miriam trembled. The pencil in her hand left an ugly stroke on the nearly finished design drawing.
"What did you just say?" Her mind totally went blank. For a moment, she thought she was having a nightmare.
Emphasizing each word, Patricia answered, "Your ungrateful husband is sleeping with another woman right now. Room 1102, Golden Light International Hotel. Come here, quick!"
Miriam didn't remember much of what happened after hanging up. It was like she had an out-of-body experience for at least half a minute.
She didn't move until the sharp sound of a car horn from outside jolted her back to her senses. She rushed out, still holding the pencil in her hand.
