Chapter 1 Prologue

He has finally found her.

The moment he has been waiting for all his life, he, at last, found her. He never thought he would be awarded such a precious treasure. He was almost certain, he was cursed or not deserving of such an honor.

She was right in front of his eyes, yet he couldn't bring himself to believe. To walk up to her and hold her in his arms.

For decades, he yearned for a mate, his beloved, a person to love, to cherish, to look after. He searched for so long but he always went back with disappointment, hurt, and anger. But now, that she was right there, his search has finally come to a stop.

He has finally found her.

He was awestruck by her beauty and aura. The way her gorgeous dark brown hair gracefully cascaded down her shoulders and flowed in the air. The way her skin glowed as she sat directly under the sunlight. The way she laughed so freely and loudly without a care in the world, clapping her hands and often the table as her friend continued to crack silly jokes. The way she stood up and dusted off her dress then sat down again and held a hand over her mouth to control her laughter but ended up failing as she burst out laughing yet again. He never wanted that laughter to stop. He could go on and on for centuries listening to this blissful sound.

And the way she smells? He had to control each and every fiber of his body to not just advance towards her and hug her close to his chest and bury his face in her neck and never let her go. It was like she had him under a spell, her spell and he would gladly stay in it forever.

She had an exquisite aura filled with innocence and craziness and he could just tell how much of a handful she was going to be from the way she scowled at the guy who was eyeing her and his eyes widen at the sight of her flipping the man off.

His smile widens as she mischievously chuckled and threw her coke at the man and ran off grabbing her friend's hand, laughing loudly as he closed his eyes preserving the laughter and her stunning face in his mind.

But his smile immediately vanished at the thought of him not being able to have her. Yet.

She was too young and free to just involve her in his cruel world. He wasn't sure if she would accept him or even worse how was he even going to tell her the reality. Would she reject him? Or would she be excited? He could only hope for the best.

If he only knew the world he was afraid to involve her in, was what she wished to happen every single day.
