Prologue
Dont you get it? You all did this. You did it to yourselves! The lies, the backstabbing. The betrayals
I said, my voice hoarse, my anger out in the open, there was nothing to hide now, nothing to run from, this was their fault, all of their faults.
If you hadnt been such indecent human beings, thered be nothing to expose about you, thered be no reason for the damage cost. There would be no chaos. You all did it all of you.
What people didnt understand was that, we lived in a society today where speaking freely was no longer an option, being honest was a rarity and it wasnt because people were afraid to speak their mind no, it was because the lies they fed to others fuelled their hunger for destroying others. They fed on breaking lives, doing damage and creating destruction.
These people were no victims, they were monsters and they reflected their image onto me, though what I had done was no inhumane but merely justice, I was punishing them for their sins. They didnt deserve to live without knowing what they had done wrong, I wouldnt allow it.
You go on and on and on about how youre so tired of fake people and fake friends but have you ever tried to take one look in the mirror? Have you saw yourself? Ever really truly looked into your own eyes? Did you find any life in them? Because not only are you dead inside but there is no life on the outside of your layers of skin either, you are a phantom of destruction, you are a poison, a virus. You just keep on spreading and spreading and eventually, you drag everyone around you in and make them become just like you. You are a plague.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I relived the horror they put me through and allowed that anger take over me, allowed it to give me the push I needed to not give up, to not be human and forgive. Forgiveness was for the weak, forgiveness was a way of escaping your demons, it was a way of trying to move on with your life so you didnt have to deal with the aftermath of the damage others had done to you but me, I was no coward, I would not forgive, I would not forget, I would wake up every morning and remind myself of what everyone had done to me so that I didnt go to sleep relying on a person to be decent because I knew, there were no decent people out there and I would be a fool to believe in such fairytales.
Keeping my eyes open and zeroed in on my prey, I breathed in the fumes of my rage as I held up my knife, twisting it around to show how precious it was and what kind of damage it could do as I said;
I am going to kill you because you deserve it, not because Im a murderer.

My husband was in the shower, the sound of water a familiar rhythm to our mornings. I was just placing a cup of coffee on his desk, a small ritual in our five years of what I thought was a perfect marriage. Then, an email notification flashed on his laptop: "You're invited to the Christening of Leo Thomas." Our last name. The sender: Hayden Cleveland, a social media influencer. An icy dread settled in. It was an invitation for his son, a son I didn't know existed. I went to the church, hidden in the shadows, and saw him holding a baby, a little boy with his dark hair and eyes. Hayden Cleveland, the mother, leaned on his shoulder, a picture of domestic bliss. They looked like a family. A perfect, happy family. My world crumbled. I remembered him refusing to have a baby with me, citing work pressure. All his business trips, the late nights-were they spent with them? The lie was so easy for him. How could I have been so blind? I called the Zurich Architectural Fellowship, a prestigious program I had deferred for him. "I' d like to accept the fellowship," I said, my voice eerily calm. "I can leave immediately."

Fate had united the two people with deep secrets. Was Ethan truly the man we thought he was? Surprisingly, he bore an uncanny resemblance to the impenetrable wealthiest man in the city. Would he find out that Janet married him in place of her sister? Would their marriage be a romantic tale or an utter disaster? Read on to unravel Janet and Ethan's journey.
Everyone in town knew Amelia had chased Jaxton for years, even etching his initials on her skin. When malicious rumors swarmed, he merely straightened his cuff links and ordered her to kneel before the woman he truly loved. Seething with realization, she slammed her engagement ring down on his desk and walked away. Not long after, she whispered "I do" to a billionaire, their wedding post crashing every feed. Panic cracked Jaxton. "She's using you to spite me," he spat. The billionaire just smiled. "Being her sword is my honor."
For financial gain, Isla's father married her to Theodore, a comatose heir. Unconscious, he duped her; awake, he claimed she'd groped him and flirted nonstop. When she discovered she was pregnant, his "lost love" appeared, and he slid divorce papers across the bed. Isla slapped his hush money back and left. They crossed paths again, with Isla lauded as a hacker, race champ, composer, and screenwriter-and the elusive doctor Theodore coveted. He begged, "One more chance." She said, "Prove it with your life." He did, but what he didn't know was that she always knew the "lost love" was only a decoy.
