When love is not enough, what is?

Everything is over. Nothing will remain the same, but I trust him and our love. Yes I will tell him everything, he will do everything in his power to protect me, us. I look in the mirror, my hair is a mess, my makeup smeared all over my face, the corner of my lip bleed, there is hickey on my neck, bluish handprint on my wrist. My dress torn and I am bleeding in between my leg. I was raped, in my own home, by my own people, my bestfriend.

He said he love me that he will do everything to stop the wedding. When I rejected him, I saw a different man, he is no longer the funny and understanding David that I know. He’s a Monster, he hit me, and even when I told him I am pregnant with Adam’s child it didnt stop him at all. He punched the life out of me and he violated me. My bestfriend, someone that I trust my life with raped me violently while beating me again and again. He want to kill my child and put his inside of me. I fight him, Bite him and I got his flesh under my nail but my small build is not enough to fight his. After hours of assaulting me, he left me on the cold floor but not before whispering in my ear that I shall tell no one about what has happened. No one will believe me, Adam will leave me.

I know he is lying, Adam will always trust me, my partner, my companion, my other half. He will understand me right? So I gathered whatever left in me and I push myself from the floor, my head is dizzy, my eyes blurry but I know I cannot stop, I force myself to walk, I need to reach Adam. We will fight David together. I tried to his cellphone but it was engage. I know David will do anything to manipulate the situation, but when Adam see my condition he will definitely understand the truth.

It is dangerous to drive in my state, but time wait for no man, as much as I trust Adam, David is his childhood bestfriend, they grow up together. But I truly hope our love is strong enough against his slander.

Reaching to Adam’s building, I quickly drag my feet to the elevator, I didnt greet anyone as I usually do but I can feel the stares toward me. I can hear the guard asking If I am okay but I just ignore him and quickly get in the elevator and push to Adam’s floor. He is the CEO of the company so his office naturally at the top floor.

My hands clammy, my head getting worse, I can even see dark spot forming but the fight is not over. The elevator stop and with determination I step out from the elevator to his room, I smile because the truth will prevail. and I am innocent in this story. I push open the door to his office but what I saw totally shocked me.

I saw my other half, Adam looking at me but instead of concern, his face contort with rage. I quickly run to him, I know he must be angry when he saw my condition, this rage is not for me but my assaulter. But before I am able to envelop him in my arm, I was push against the wall.

“Why?!” He asked me. My soft hearted Adam pressed me against the wall like I am his enemy. I look into his eyes but I can no longer find any love or compassion toward me. Then I look around the room, of course his family and a smiling David in the room.

“Do you trust me Adam? Do you trust our love?” I asked him looking straight to his eyes.

No response from him.

“David told you something right? Did he told you how he rape and beat your pregnant fiancee too? Look at me! Look into my eyes! You said my eyes is the path to my soul! Will you trust me?” I pulls his hand into mine begging him to believe me. Tears running on my face.

“Stop! I will never trust you again. I love you with my all, my family accepted you, but it was never enough, you want David too. When he rejected you, you resort to this scheme to turn me against him?! How could you, If I dont know the truth I may have fall for your trick. Your fake tears will no longer work on me. Please do not show your face in front of me again. We are done!” He yelled at me.

All the fight left my soul at his word. I pull out the ring and throw at his face, I look at the face of everyone in the room. His parent, they look at me with disgust, his sister who I love the most was crying but didnt even dare to look at me. They are my family, I have no one in this world aside to them but they leave me too.

I just drag myself away from him, I have nothing else to say, I feel numb but I force myself to walk away from him.

1 week before our wedding, I lost every single one that matters. I can feel that my baby no longer with me, reaching to my car, I drive away from Adam, David and life. Once I know longer see his building I close my eyes and its time to rest, I am too tired for this life. I heard loud horn and schreeching sound but then darkness.
