Sallanoah's Kingdom - Regina Iusta

Third Person's P.O.V

It was a beautiful day in Sallanoah's kingdom, and everyone was busy carrying out and completing their tasks. Some of them are seen walking down the lovely street, flaunting their luxurious lifestyle. Lady was wearing a slew of make-up in the hopes of attracting men with great power in the palace, and men were attempting to empress the women. The kingdom was filled with laughter. When they heard the sound of a bell, everyone looked towards the palace, puzzled as to why they rang the bell, because most of the time, the kingdom's ranking officials just met and gathered on their behalf, without informing the king's people.

The bell of Sallanoah's Kingdom rang out in every home, street, and even the birds in the mountains flew away when they heard it. The king directed his men to ring the bell, sending a signal that all the princes, as well as high-ranking officials such as the Duke, Marquess, Viscounts, and Barons, would be present at a conference. But what meeting is it for the people of the kingdom? It's the first time in a long time that Sallanoah's king has met without being noticed. In the conference room, the King was already waiting for his subjects. After a brief wait, the baron arrived first, accompanied by his wife on his left side.

"Lord Wellman, you have arrived," the king murmured as he sipped his tea, casting a glance at the Baron.

"Your Majesty," Lord Wellman bows and searches for a suitable location for him and his nine-month-pregnant wife.

The king chuckles as he says, "The Baron has never been late." The baron simply smiles slyly at the king. "Your wife should not be stressed about going to this conference." The king continued.

The baron responds, "Yes, Your Majesty, I will keep it in mind." People, including the princes, began to come after a short period of waiting. When the king realizes that these people are sufficient for his crucial revelation, the purpose for convening this special meeting, he is ready to begin when the conference room door opens and his son enters looking like a slob.

"I'm sorry father, I'm late," Prince Philip explained, "but my soon-to-be bride required my services for some reason." His hair was unkempt, his two buttons were undone, revealing his manly chest, and his Victorian ensemble was crumpled.

"Fix yourself, Philip," the king murmured, trying to ignore his son's appearance. "So, where were we? Ah! As I said, I have an important announcement to make. I called everyone here because I want you to witness what I will say and what this is all about. This kingdom is, I should say, cursed. Imagine, all of my siblings are men. My father has four brothers. I only have sons, and my married sons give birth to their sons-."

"Yes, father," the first prince responded, staring down at his nails as if there was something on them. He is thinking that his father will announce his retirement as king and that he, as the first prince, will take his father's place as the king's first son. "Tell us why we are here," he continued, his words lacking in respect.

"Why do my sons always cut me off like I'm not a monarch to a kingdom? I didn't raise you all without respect," the king stated, increasing his voice and attempting to calm himself from his not-so-gentle sons. The king then remembered his late wife, missing the way she disciplined his sons and forced them to follow the queen as his wife and mother. But, after the queen's death, he has no idea what to do with his boys or how to care for children. Also, as a king, he had far more essential responsibilities than looking after his children, therefore he must have lost his children's love as a father due to his significant responsibilities for the kingdom.

"So as I am saying, the main reason why I called you all here is that I want to create a new history for Sallanoah's Kingdom, something extraordinary, exaggerating, and engaging. And that is, whoever gave birth to a baby girl of royal blood would be the first to break the curse. When I do the King dies, the child will ascend to the throne and become the queen, and whoever she marries will become the king as well, and they will rule this kingdom. " The king said it with actions and really exaggerating everything which was shocking, especially to his first son Henry who supposedly inherited the king's throne. People inside the conference room were so quiet waiting for someone to respond to the king. Until one stands up, and it was the first prince.

" Nonsense! I am going to be king! I am the first son, and that is how things work here in this silly kingdom ruled by a foolish monarch," Prince Henry yelled angrily, demonstrating his great disagreement with his father.

"Calm down, my beloved brother; do not offend the king in front of so many people, yes?" the third prince murmured quietly. "Father, please continue," he stood and bent down.

"Well, then, my son, I shall do you a favor: when I die and there is still no kid of our own blood of female gender, you'll accede asking until that child is born," the king said.

"My king, we fully respect you, but you cannot simply say that; we have traditions to maintain," the duke remarked, his voice broad and respectful.

"But I am the king; I create the rules, and everyone obeys; that is it; this assembly is adjourned," the king replied, disappointed by his people's reaction to his surprise announcement. The king, on the other hand, is a man of his words, and no one can alter what he has just stated. The king and his troops exited the conference room, and they all began to walk out.

"I believe the king does not want you to follow in his footsteps, brother," the first prince replied to his older brother, grinning.

"F*ck you, Philip," Prince Henry says, "I guarantee you, I will be the ruler of this domain." Henry was a ruthless selfish guy and greedy. He is always striving to be the best at whatever he does, even in games. He never concedes defeat since he considers himself to be the wisest of his brothers and all the men in the palace.
