ANASTASIA POV

“Anaaaaaaaa” I jolt out of sleep and rub my eyes constantly while yawning, I snuggle back into bed maybe to just get back the warmth of bed..but hell no! Well..maybe it’s gone, I blinked my eyes rapidly to blink back the tears that was trying to form a pool in my eyes..

“Anaaaaaaaaaaa” God!! This my mom won’t cease to....a loud bang on my door made me jolt into bed with my pillow wrapped in between my arms.

My mom came in with..should I say a fierce look..but certainly not fierce to me, she glared hard at me but maybe her look was soft..

“ ANASTASIA SMITH!! Have you forgotten you’re resuming your new school today?” My mom shouted at me...God! Our new neighbors will certainly know us too soon, my mom got a loud voice and maybe too friendly with everyone...

“Good morning mom” I greeted her and her face soften while she desperately try to mask the smile that was about spreading on her face.

She came to my bed and sat on it.

“Morning to you my beautiful girl..it’s your first day in a new school, do you want me to dress you up?” She says and I shudders.

“Hell no mom, I’m no five year old kid mom!!” I grumble.

“Just few days in Cali, I guess you’re coming out of your shell..you sincerely don’t have to be a nerd yunno” I glare hard at my mom after finishing her words and she burst into laughter.

“Mom, can you pls go back to what you’re doing? I have to get ready” I readjust my glasses uncomfortably.

“Ok..ok girl, I’ll leave” she stand up and was about leaving when she swiftly turn to me.

“Don’t tell me you slept with your glasses on, girl if this is ruined, you’re getting no more glasses” she sign dramatically and I roll my eyes.

“Okay mom..byeee” she roll her eyes at me before walking out.

I stand up from my bed and walk into the bathroom to do my stuff.

“Amen” we all chorus and open our eyes, when I mean we, I mean; my dad, my mom, me and my little sister Rosaline.

“Eat up your food quick Ana so I can drop you off in school”

“Okay dad” I dig into my food immediately.

“Are you taking me to school too dad?” Rosa question dad.

“No Rosa, mama is gon’ drop you off” dad smiled at her while stylishly telling her he won’t be dropping her in school, I chuckled inwardly as I know an argument is about to ensue.

“Why dad? Why can’t you drop me in school?” She pouts.

“No baby, I want to drop you in school and your mama wants to do that too or you don’t want mama to take you to school” Dad ask innocently.

“Oh..h, not like I don’t want mama to but..” mom beat her to whatever she is about to say.

“Oh..my very darling Rosa, I know you will choose mama, don’t worry mama got you, I will get you chocolates when you’re back from school” mom playfully draws her cheeks and she smile widely.

“Okay mommy” she grins and I chuckle.

“Okay...that’s my girl, can you give daddy a smile?” Rosaline quickly smile and dad draws her cheek which made her giggle.

Dad stands up and face me.

“Are you done Ana?”

“Yes dad” I stand up wanting to pack the plates but mom beat me to it.

“Leave it Ana, I’ll do it” I smile at her warmly.

“Thanks mom” I peck her cheeks and went to Rosa, I did same and wave them goodbye.

I pick up my backpack and look at dad who is still kissing his wife.

Okay, here is me trailing behind the school principal and my class teacher, we’re heading to class and God knows I’m so nervous.

Ohh..maybe we’re there, they enter into a class and I trail behind with my head hang low..

“Good morning Students”

“Good morning Mr Ballard” the students greets the principal, I raise my head and peep at the classroom.

“I have been getting lots of complaint about this class..well I’m giving this class the very last warning, you cause more trouble you all get suspended” says the principal, my soon to be class mates begin murmuring and I shiver, are my classmates troublesome?

“Is that taken?” The principal asked in a firm voice which made the whole class fall silent.

“Yes sir” they all murmur.

“Mr Smith please make sure to address your students” the principal faced our class teacher.

“Okay sir, thank you sir” he bow politely and the principal left.

“Morning students”

“Good morning Mr Smith” they shouted happily

“I won’t ask how your night went, I want to address you all but firstly I have an introduction to make” he says and the class fall silent, he look at me directly.

“Well beside me this morning is a newly transferred student and she is officially a student of this prestigious school and class...Miss Smith pls introduce yourself” he gesture his hand for me to introduce myself, immediately I lost my voice..God knows I hate doing this, even my mom knows..

“Miss Smith?” I jolt back from my train of thoughts..oh God!

“Um..mm..hi..hi..I...” I wave my hand trying to force a smile on my lip but they are all looking at me like a clown who made a bad joke..

“Miss Smith..”

“Ok..God! This is hard” I murmur beneath my breath but I guess it came out loud.

“Nerd! Can you just get over with your introduction? Like nobody in here even cares about who the f**k you are!!” I snapped my head up immediately looking at the direction where those words came from..and there she was, if not for the fact that she was smirking and made eye contact with me, I would have said those words were not from her, she looked so angelic, beautiful and calm..Mr Smith’s voice brought me back.

“I have always told you to be mindful of your speech Rose, I will have to report you officially to the school if you keep up with this attitude of yours” Mr Smith glared hard at her and she scoffed.

“You should at least be mindful of your worn out belt before telling me to be mindful of my words” she retorted embarrassing Mr Smith.

“Ok..this is too much, you sassy b*tch, isn’t it enough for you to follow Jay like a dog who is on heat period, do you have to be so stupid to the extent that you insult our class master? Your attitude stinks b*tch!” A blonde haired beautiful girl lashed out at her and I felt a smile tug at the corner of my lip, the whole class burst out laughing and she stormed out of the class, probably embarrassed but one thing was certain, she was furious.

“Okay, silence class..(one laughter dropped, another dropped till the class fell into total silence)..Miss Smith please find yourself a seat “

I walked towards the blonde haired girl who has smiling and waving at me..she seems nice.

“Hey..here” says the girl while tapping a seat beside her, I gave her a soft smile and sat down.

“Hiiiii, I’m Jade” she says excitedly, is she always this excited?

“Umm..I’m Anastasia..” she quickly hold my hand smiling widely.

“Oh Gosh, you’re looking so beautiful even with your glasses, will you be my friend? I rea..”she was cut short by a loud murmur that erupt.

“Oh my gosh”

“He’s here”

“I wanna faint”

“He’s looking exceptionally handsome today”

“I wish he’d just f**k me once, I’ll be so happy”

“His friends are hot too”

There were lots of comments and I was forced to look at the person or maybe group of people they’re talking about.

A ginger haired guy was the first to enter and the class fell silent, another blonde haired guy entered, they both took a seat beside i and Jade.

“How are you doing babe?” The ginger haired guy asked looking at Jade who glared at him in return..

“What did I tell you regarding missing classes Dave? If you keep doing this with Jay I will...”Jade was cut short by a louder murmur from the class...

...a da..r.k guy..oh I mean a dark haired good looking guy came in looking at me directly, he came directly to me and my heart race, he stopped in front of me before moving to Jade, he pecked her cheek and my heart dropped..was I sad?

“How are you baby sis?” He guy asked, Jade hissed loudly and wiped her cheek dramatically before glaring at him.

“What the hell is your problem Jay?! I don’t even want anyone to know you are my family playboy! Ignore me inside this school, is that taken?” He chuckled and took a seat right beside me, now I’m in their middle.

“You don’t have a choice girl” the two kept exchanging words while the other two guys laughed. A teacher entered and the class fell silent except for Jade and the Jay guy who keep murmuring at each other.

“Music teacher is in class” the Dave guy told them when he saw none of them is giving in for the other.

“I’ll be the matured one” says Jay whilst brushing his hair with his hand.

“Jay you were not in the last class, there’s no one left to partner you with, I don’t...”the teacher was saying before he was cut short..

“I’ll be his partner sir” says the Rose girl and Jade hissed loudly.

“You have a partner already Rose”

“We have a new student Mr Wills” says Jade.

“Oh really, where is she?”

“She is right here beside Jayden” says Jade. I bowed my head slightly to greet him and he smiled acknowledging me.

“Your name Miss” he asked politely.

“Anastasia Smith” I replied.

“Welcome to Horizon high”

“Thank you sir”

“You are welcome, so..you will Jayden, one of you should come for your title”

“Okay sir” I replied and he nod.

“Let’s get to today’s business”.....

It’s closing time and I and Jade are on your way to the the locker room.

“Jayden will be waiting for you at home” Jade blurt out.

“Wh..what? Why?” I asked almost immediately.

“Chill girl, have you forgotten Mr Wills assignment?”

“Ohh..but I didn’t give him my home address yet” I replied.

“I’m talking about our house”

“Oh..I didn’t tell my mom yet”

“You can call her, you’re with your phone right?” She asked.

“Yeah”

The car entered into a mansion and this got me wondering who Jade’s parent are and how much money they got cos this huge!

The driver turned off the car’s engine and we both got out of the car, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the house, I looked around to assure myself I’m in real life and not in the dreamland.

I was immediately brought back when I heard….

“Oh..the nerd is here”.
