My name is Willow and when I was seventeen I got rejected by my mate. Two weeks later I found I was also pregnant so I skipped town and left. Few years later and I'm back to join my pack.
It started when I was fifteen; no one liked me at school. I was a geek. I only had one friend and that's all I really wanted...oh yea where's my manners?
My name's Willow Heart. I'm sixteen. Today's my birthday and I'm turning seventeen. My dad said I'm supposed to meet my mate this week and I'm actually kind of nervous about it. I shouldn't be because my mate is supposed to love me for me.
*Past*
"I'm very sorry to say your mom didn't make it Ms. Heart."
To make it clear my mom is thirty years old. She had me when she was fifteen, and married my dad at nineteen. She was pretty young but she loved me with all her heart. I have an older brother; he's only a year older than me. Everyone says I'm an emo geek because I wore a lot of black. My hair is black and I have blue eyes. They also say I'm a mistake hell even my brother said I was a mistake but my dad didn't so I guess that's all that counts right?
*Present.
It's been two years since my mom died. My dad just up and left one day, leaving me with my brother. I locked myself in my room and stayed there. I spent a lot of time with my best friend Kaley. She's practically my only family left.
My brother came and knocked on my door which was new because he was always banging another chick or something I don't really care about.
"Come in." He walked into my room.
"Hey can we talk?" I was scared, but hey it's the life of sarcasm just go with it
"Should I be scared?" He chuckled and shook his head no. Uh-oh that's always bad.
"Yea sure."
"Well there's a wolf meeting and they need us to go... and yea I can't show up without you." Ugh I don't want to go to those stupid things that are boring as hell.
"Fine I'll go." he engulfed me in a hug. "You have an hour to get ready.
I wish he had told me this earlier. I grab my clothes and get into the shower. After I finish, I get dressed in my white shirt with a diamond on it, black skinny jeans and vans. I then moved to my hair. I blow dried it, straightening it when I finished. I applied make up and grabbed my purple hoodie, well the only one I have.
Just as I finished my brother came up to my room.
"Ready?"
"Yep!" I grabbed my phone and walked out. He was driving because I didn't want to. Fifteen minutes later we were at the pack house. The Alpha, Luna, and Soon-To-Be Alpha with their daughter were already there. I was happy because their daughter is my best friend.
He pulled up and we walked inside where my brother was overflowing with girls. I went to find my best friend Kaley with her boyfriend a.k.a mate.
"Hey, come over here." I walked over to my friend; the only guy that likes me is her mate. He only likes me as a friend. I sniffed the air and asked my wolf why it was so strong.
"Mate!" I can't believe it! I started racing to the smell and found him but I really didn't like him at all! It was the soon to be Alpha, Nathan Waltz. I know funny name but I didn't want him as my mate! He looked at me with love and lust.
"Would you like to dance?" There was a dance before the meeting.
"Yea sure." He reached for my hand grabbing it. I inwardly gasp feeling the tingling sensation in my hand. Sparks sure did fly.
It was a good two hours for the meeting. Me being the omega, I had to make a speech that had to come from two minutes flat. Which I'm good at anyways but when the meeting was over, it was a party for our hard work. I went over to the bar with Kaley and her boyfriend Jake. We had a good few-- scratch that many drinks. I was having a good time. Nathan came up to me and picked me up. He also had a lot of drinks because I could smell it in his breath.
He dragged me up to his room. Since he was soon-to-be Alpha he and Kaley had to live there. He dragged me to his room, closed it and locked it.
I woke up to an empty bed and Nathan staring at me "Morning," I said sweetly. He got up and looked away.
"Look, last night I was drunk and didn't know what I was thinking." The look of love was soon replaced with guilt and sadness; I knew what was coming next.
"I, Soon-To-Be Alpha Nathan Waltz, reject you Willow whatever, as my mate and future Luna, your not mate material or even Luna material." He began walking away.
"Wait!" he turned around hearing my call. "What is the real reason you're rejecting me? I wanna know the truth, why?"
"To be honest your right, it isn't just that. You're not the right material, it's also because I don't date emo geeks. You're just a stupid little teenager that I felt bad for. So there you got the truth, now get out of my house." I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. I put my clothes on and called my brother.
"Hello?" Thank god he answered.
"Will you come pick me up please?" I asked, trying to hold back all my tears.
"Yea sure, where are you?"
"I'm at the pack house." He hung up and about fifteen minutes he was here to pick me up. As I sat in he asked me a question causing me to lie.
"Did you stay with Kaley last night?" I couldn't say that the alpha was my mate so I just said yes.
"What's going on you look like your gonna cry"
"Why do you care?" I mumbled under my breath.
"What"
"I said why do you care? You never have! You just treated me as your slave. I locked myself in my room so I wouldn't see you bringing home random girls!"
"Dammit I care because you are my goddamn sister! Whether you like it or not!
"Whatever." His knuckles turned white as he squeezed the life out of the steering wheel. We finally got home and went inside.
"Sit your ass down, we're gonna talk about this." Sam crossed his hand across his chest.
I scoffed, rolling my eyes, "there's nothing to talk about."
"Willow sit now," I only sat down because he wasn't gonna leave me alone
"What?
"Look, I know I haven't been the best brother ever but really..." I stood up angry, cutting him off.
"Really we're going to have this talk?! You were the one who started rumours about me! You ended my life and you expect me to just forgive you? You're such an ass! When I needed a brother you ignored me to go fuck some random chick! I know what that feels like, except it was my goddamn mate that did that to me! So there, lucky you aren't their mate so you can just go fuck off!"
He held a look of shock and anger.
I walked upstairs into my parent's room. We had a search party for my dad. Ever since he left I've missed him and mom. She could tell me what I should do. I closed the door and lay on the bed to feel some comfort. The smell gave me a feeling that my daddy was okay. Sleep consumed me when I woke up my brother was next to me, unintentionally I was cuddled on his shoulder.
What the hell? He should've just left me alone! But no, he had to bother me! Ugh that dick! You know now I hate boys. I get up to go take a shower. Once I finished I got out and dressed. I did my usual routine then I went downstairs to eat. Luckily Sam wasn't awake yet.
