Brittany agrees but doesn't know that her one minute marriage to the arrogant Cole Williams is about to mess up their entire lives. To find out what happened read this amazing story of hate, deception, love, and second chances.
A few hours to the wedding and no one had seen the bride, her calls had gone unanswered and nobody could find her. Mr. Marsh was getting impatient and so was Naya.
45 minutes to the wedding the groom had made his appearance but there was still no sign of the bride.
Naya burst into the bride's hotel room and only her makeup artist and the other stylists were in there. Waiting for the bride so they could do their job. The makeup artist caught Naya's eye. She had a similar figure as the model. She just had a bigger bust than her, but they could work with that. After all, Luna, the original bride didn't reveal her face at the press conference.
She pulled the make up artist aside and whispered in her ear.
"What's your name?"
"Brittany, you can call me Bre" she responded.
"Brittany, the bride hasn't showed up and it's 45 minutes to commence the ceremony, there's paparazzi and media that are ready to embarrass Cole if something goes wrong" Brittany wondered why Naya was telling her all this, she was only here to do her job, she didn't care about anything else. "You have a similar body type as Luna can you be the back up bride for us? Dress up and get your make up done, we'll present you as the bride if she doesn't show up" Naya said to her.
"Huh? Why? No I can't" Brittany began to protest.
"$100,000 if you do this I'll pay you $100,000 cool cash, you just have to show up for after the wedding you'll end up being a free woman with a 100,000 bucks, in your bank account" Naya announced to her.
"I don't have to go through a divorce and all that?" Brittany asked.
"No you don't, a minute after the wedding is over the marriage is also over, technically you'll only be married for a minute yet you get to walk away with 100,000 bucks, isn't it wonderful?"
Brittany was amused, 100,00 could cover rent for many months, take her on vacations, pay for her needs and still have a lot of it left in her account of course she was taking this opportunity.
"I'm in!" She announced.
"Great!" Naya yelled and turned to the stylists "dress her up for the wedding we have 40 minutes to get done and get to the ceremonial hall" she instructed and walked out.
Cole and Sean sat at the front seat waiting for the bride to show up.
"You know you can always change your mind if you want to bro, you don't have to go this far" Sean whispered in Cole's ears and laughed.
"Oh shut up this is all your fault, can't wait for all this to be over" Cole replied.
Cole was ready to put on his best acting skills when the bride stepped in. They all gave the bride a standing ovation as she walked in, but Cole was busily looking at the person behind the veil. It didn't look like Luna, who was this? He quickly knocked himself back to reality and pretended to cry because his bride was finally in.
Sean played along and consoled his friend. When it was time to unveil the bride the paparazzi and attendees were on standby everyone including Cole himself wanted a good shot of the face of the woman who had managed to capture the heart of the award winning actor, Cole Williams"
Cole confidently took off the veil and was surprised to see the unfamiliar bride.
"Wow!" He exclaimed and stole a glance at Naya who sighed and closed her eyes in frustration. "Play along Cole" she prayed desperately.
"I can't believe how beautiful you look my darling, could you be anymore beautiful?" Cole exclaimed.
Brittany smiled and admired Cole's adorably cute face. "I thought you couldn't look any more handsome than you did yesterday, boy was I wrong, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world"
"Of course you feel lucky, you money hungry sloth, I'm sure she jumped in the moment she heard about $100,000" Cole thought to himself. The paparazzi lights went flashing wildly in the face of Brittany as she smiled at her dear one minute husband. While the only thing running through her mind were the things she would do with the money as soon as she received it. Cole may have been the crush of many girls but no girl will want to be married to a guy they knew nothing about or never even spoken to before if there was nothing to gain from it, so it was very awkward when they had to kiss, Cole was also uncomfortable but his acting skills were great so he just pressed his lips against hers for about 5 seconds and let her go. For moments they both felt awkward. Cole began to beam with smiles as the ceremony drew closer to an end knowing that the minute it was over he could have his normal life back. Just then the couple were ushered to go sign their marriage certificates at the high table.
Cole frowned "didn't they say this was fake? If so, why were they supposed to sign a certificate" he thought to himself as he took his bride's hand and led her to the high table.
Brittany also looked confused, she wasn't told she was going to sign any marriage certificates, what was happening? The confusion in their minds was perfectly hidden behind the smiles on their faces as they waved to the crowd, the bride grabbed her own seat and so did Cole. They both sat down and looked at the papers before them. It wasn't a certificate per say it was a contract between a woman named Malorie and Naya, the details of the contract had not been discussed with the one minute couple, yet they were expected to sign the papers. Brittany panicked. What if she didn't agree with certain terms and conditions, would she still be bound by the contract? Cole sensed her hesitation and he himself did not want to sign the papers but the media was watching, they could sign it and later discuss the terms. He leaned over and whispered in Brittany's ear.
"Just sign the raggedy paper, the minute we leave here, this will all mean nothing,"
