I stood in front of the mirror and admired my hot body. I knew how crazy my body drove men but there was only one man I wanted to be crazy about, my bodyguard Mark.
I didn't know at what point I'd gone and fallen in love with him, it had happened slowly, over an extended period of time.
I guess it had always been inevitable. I spent more time and saw him more than any other man.
Falling for him wasn't the problem though. The problem was that he had zero interest in me. I don't think the man even saw me as anything more than the child he had been tasked to guard.
Which was a problem when all I could think about when I looked at him was his hands all over my body.
Mark was just too upright for his own good. If it were any other man, I'd be the one fending off their advances.
Why did I get myself fallen for the most stubborn, unattainable man on the planet?
I had tried everything I could to get him to see me as a woman.
Seducing him hadn't worked, and the one time I had purposely fallen into the pool in a thin white shirt without a stitch of underwear on, he had just averted his eyes and handed me a towel.
It was infuriating when the man you loved so much was always around but you couldn't have him.
I wouldn't wish this fate on my worst enemy.
But I had a plan.
I was going to make my move tonight at the club, find out once and for all where I stood with Mark and if he truly wasn't interested, not because I was a job to him but because he just didn't like me, then I'd find a way to move on. But then again, what was there not to like about me ?.
I was young, stunning, hot, rich. I was the whole package and extra. It would be his loss if he wasn't interested.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror. The dress I had on clung to every curve on my body and the white color looked wonderful against my summer tanned skin. If things worked out well tonight, hopefully this dress would end up torn off my body by my gorgeous bodyguard.
The thought made me shiver in delight.
I applied more lipstick on my lips and walked out of the room. Mark was standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking up at me, as hot and as drop dead gorgeous as usual.
He looked like one of those billboard underwear models, tall, fit and so enticing. I bit my lips seductively and put more sway to my hips as I descended, enjoying the way his eyes tracked down my body before meeting mine.
Sometimes, I hated Mark because I was sure that he wanted me as much as I did him.
It was just his damn morals keeping him from making a move. Damn him and his morals.
We walked out to the parking lot and Mark held the car door open for me.
I entered the car and sat down while he took his position at the driver's seat. A moment later, the car purred to life and pulled away from the lot.
I could not help but stare at him throughout the journey to the club, there was something so domineering and visceral about him that drove me crazy.
Sometimes, I just wanted him to do absolutely depraved things to me. I could not help but fantasize about him and me, together in bed, his large body covering mine while I writhed beneath him. Heat pooled in my belly at the thought.
I didn't even realize that Mark had been calling my name, too lost in my reverie until I felt a strong hand touch my arm, a spark ran though my body at the innocent contact.
"We are here." He said. "stay put." Then he walked around to unbuckle my seatbelt and hold the car door open for me.
As I alighted, his voice gave me pause. "What were you thinking about?"
"You might not want to know that"
"I'd been calling your name for a while, you can tell me if something is bothering you" his eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"I was just daydreaming, c'mon let's go inside."
" Ti.. "
"I'm okay, Mark." It had been a lot of work to convince him to call me by my name, before I had made a huge fuss about it, it had been "Miss Temper" this and "Miss Temper" that.
I made sure to sway my hips as much as I could as I walked ahead of him into the club. I was using every weapon in my arsenal and hopefully by the end of the night, it'd have paid off.
We entered the club and we were welcomed with loud music and cheerful screams, I walked up to my friends while Mark went to sit at the bar while watching over me closely and possessively.
I was chatting and drinking happily with my friends when some guy walked over to me.
"May I dance with you?"
"Of course, cutie."
We made our way to the dance floor. We had barely begun dancing when I looked across the room and saw some bitch clinging to Mark.
This was not the first time something like this was happening, I mean I understood the women who threw themselves at him, Mark was lethally beautiful but he was mine. I felt a bit relieved when I saw that Mark hadn't taken his eyes off me even though the woman was all but rubbing herself against him like a cat in heat.
I couldn't take it anymore.
I threw off the hands on my hip and made my way to where Mark was.
"Hey, baby." I flung my arms around him and hip checked the woman.
She spluttered. "Who are you?" I swept my eyes down her cheap dress, knocked off heels and damaged hair.
"His girl." I said. "Who are you?"
She looked between me and Mark then huffed and stomped off angrily. Good riddance. I turned to glare at Mark.
"What the fuck was that?"
"Did you have fun dancing?" he asked.
Was this some kind of payback or what? I had suddenly lost my zeal to be here. "Let's just go home." I pouted.
Telling the girls that I was leaving turned into another round of drinks and by the time I got back to Mark's side, I was feeling a bit tipsy. He immediately wrapped his hands around my waist to keep me steady as we exited the club.
As we got to where the car was parked, I suddenly threw myself at Mark, my mouth covering his. I felt his body go still momentarily before he pushed me off him, holding me away.
"Ti-"
"No. Don't lie to me. Don't tell me you don't want this. I've seen the way you look at me. You want me as much as I want you."
"Tiffany, please."
"Please what? Isn't this what we both want? I want you Mark. I've wanted you for so long. I-"
"You can't."
"Don't tell me what I can or cannot do." I snapped as I stared at him with my glassy eyes.
"You're drunk."
"It doesn't change what I feel."
"Yes, it does. Get in the car. You need water and sleep and tomorrow we'll forget this ever happened. I'll never bring it up. I promise."
My eyes welled up. "I don't want to forget. Don't you get it. I couldn't even forget if I tried. Don't you want me, Mark?"
"No, I don't. I'm sorry miss."
I was heartbroken beyond words when he said that he does not want me.
I ran out of his sight and went to sit in a silent and dark corner in the club to cry my eyes out. I could not help but feel my heart wrench as I cried.
I imagined all the adoring looks he gave me? No, I was sure that I had seen him stare at me with heat in his eyes. I could bet all the diamonds in my safe that he wanted me.
I heard the sound of approaching footsteps and I quickly wiped my eyes.
"Mark, just let me be"
He tapped my shoulder. With a sigh, I looked over my shoulder at him.
My eyes went wide.
That wasn't Mark.
A handkerchief was pressed over my face and I tried to scream but it came out muffled. My head began to swim and everything went blurry for a second before the world went black.
