"I reject you, wolfless beggar!" After her betrothed publicly humiliated her and tore her wedding dress to ribbons, he expected Alexandra to crawl and weep. Instead, her dormant soul awakened. Armed with the deadly reflexes of an elite surgeon and combat expert, she broke his guards with bare hands and deflected his blade with two fingers. Then, she did the unthinkable. She walked past him and proposed to the kingdom's ruthless nightmare-the Butcher King. "Marry me, and I'll purge the deadly poison from your bones." "Deal," the monster King replied. He thought he threw away trash. He didn't know he just forced her onto the throne of his supreme monarch.

The Miracle Luna: The Butcher King's Only Cure Chapter 1

Alexandra POV:

"Hold her down! Rip that lace completely off her body!"

The shrill, piercing shriek violently tore through the haze in my mind.

With a brutal shudder, the carriage wheels jammed hard against the cobblestones, tossing the entire compartment violently sideways. The back of my head slammed against the solid oak paneling with a heavy, dull thud.

The wooden door was kicked open from the outside, and the blinding midday sun stabbed right into my eyes, accompanied by the cloying, suffocating stench of cheap floral perfume and the raw, sour musk of low-tier wolfguards.

I squinted, barely making out a woman standing outside in a rust-colored velvet gown.

Cristina Gillespie. The pampered darling of the King's chief physician-a spoiled, arrogant, and venomous socialite.

"Did you hear me?" Cristina snapped, her arms crossed as she barked at the two brutes flanking her. "Drag this wolfless mongrel out and strip off that bridal gown! Cheyenne is of noble blood; he would never marry a beggar like her, and she doesn't deserve to touch an inch of our court fabric!"

A crowd of market idlers gathered thicker around the street, their greasy, vulgar jeers grating on my ears: "Tear it off! Let's see if her skin is really that fair!" "A useless cripple who can't even awaken her wolf spirit dares to dream of a high-ranking Alpha?"

Two burly, beast-scented brutes grinned wickedly as they stepped onto the iron carriage step, their calloused, heavy hands lunging straight for my neckline without hesitation!

Riiiip-!

The fragile lace split cleanly down the seam, and cool air instantly grazed my collarbone and chest.

That chill snapped me wide awake.

The daze vanished in an instant, replaced by an ice-cold, razor-sharp clarity.

The moment the brute sneered and reached forward to grab more, my right hand shot out like an iron vise, locking onto his wrist and driving my thumb ruthlessly into the groove of his radial nerve with lethal precision.

Crack!

The agonizing shock of joint dislocation exploded instantly. His sneer choked in his throat, transforming into a pig-like shriek of agony as his knees buckled, sending him crashing face-first onto the carriage floor!

The other brute roared and threw a heavy fist straight at my face.

I tilted my head by half an inch, letting the punch brush harmlessly past my cheek, and used the momentum of my pivot to drive my knee upward, slamming it viciously between his legs into his most vulnerable target!

Thud!

"Aaaargh-!!"

A bloodcurdling scream shattered the air across the avenue. The brute's face went dead white, his eyes bulging as he flew backward out of the carriage, collapsing into the mud where he curled up and convulsed in sheer agony.

The once-raucous street plunged into absolute, terrified silence.

"What in the Goddess's name...?" a merchant gasped, dropping his basket of apples.

"Did she just dismantle two pack guards with her bare hands?" another whispered in shock. "That's Alexandra Atkins! She's the coward who burst into tears when an Alpha's hound barked at her! She can barely lift a wooden spoon!"

"She has no wolf spirit... how is that kind of speed even possible?!"

I paid their murmurs no mind.

I calmly ripped off the cumbersome bridal veil tangled in my hair, tossed it onto the carriage floorboards, and stepped down onto the cold cobblestones. My posture was relaxed, my breathing steady and even.

Cristina backed up two frantic steps, her face draining of every drop of color as she clutched her skirts, staring at me as if looking at a ghost.

"Y-you..." Cristina stuttered, her voice shaking violently. "You shameless bitch! You're a wolfless coward who used to grovel on the floor whenever Cheyenne walked past! How dare you fight back?!"

Her panic tipped over into hysterical rage. Her right hand plunged into the seam pocket of her skirts, slipping several slender silver needles coated in a dark, ominous sheen between her knuckles!

"Cheyenne will never marry trash like you-die!" she shrieked, lunging forward with the silver needles aimed straight for my face!

A glance at that dark sheen was all it took. Paralyzing neurotoxin.

Amateur work.

A fraction of a second before the strike landed, I stepped inside her guard to kill her leverage, my left hand snapping onto Cristina's wrist and wrenching it brutally outward against the joint!

Clatter-!

The needles slipped from her limp fingers, scattering across the stones.

"For the daughter of the King's chief physician, your tricks are remarkably low," I remarked calmly, tossing the shredded velvet onto the dirt by her boots and dusting off my hands. I looked down at her shivering form with detached amusement. "You wanted to strip my dress in the middle of the street?"

Cristina stared up from the mud, pure horror diluting her arrogance. "How dare you..!"

Clack, clack, clack...

From the northern end of the avenue, the heavy, urgent thunder of iron hooves approached, vibrating faintly through the stones beneath my boots.

The crowd scrambled to clear a path toward the walls. Through the swirling dust galloped a powerful grey stallion carrying a young noble draped in a heavy wolf-fur mantle, his silver-buckled light armor gleaming coldly.

Cristina, still huddled on the ground, looked toward him as if her savior had descended from the heavens and wailed with shrill hysteria: "Cheyenne! Save me! This lunatic is trying to kill me!!"

The warhorse skidded to an abrupt halt a few paces away, snorting as its iron-shod hooves scraped harshly against the gravel.

Cheyenne Mckinney sat high in the saddle, looking down with a face dark as iron. His eyes, burning with unchecked arrogance and furious venom, locked onto me like drawn blades.
