mouth" he instructed as he filled up the spoon with basmati rice. "Now tell me what is it?" He inquired. 'Okay. Is she telling him that it is his aunt or what? There's a better way'

he served aunty mariya;she scoffed thinking that halima cannot do it. Hafeez raised his eyebrow at halima-- job weldone. When aunty mariya tasted it, she couldn't find anything to say. It was good and to say it tastes bad would be a lie. "Nonsense"! She pushed the plate away and they both looked at her. " it is a left over food i swear. You just warmed it for me" she stood on her feet sending halima daggers. It didn't taste like warmed up food. "I swear it is so fresh. I just prepared it" "That's an obessed lie halima. Do you want to fool me? I am a good cook and i know how long it takes one to prepare pap and bean cake" "Ma.." "Shut the mouth up! I don't need your explanation barren" she barked again and picked her hand bag. "You will come and meet me useless boy" she added;hissed and stormed out. Justice now understood why she was worried. She didn't want to tell him. He sighed and gave her the 'i am sorry, don't worry' look and she returned the 'no problem i understand. I am okay' look. They smiled and locked their hands and stare at each other. He placed a buss on her forehead, eyes and cheeks. They giggled and end up canoodling. ********* --you said you know how i will make her stop coming to my house-- halima typed. After like five minutes, a reply came. ~~yes there is, infact there are many ways~~ hafsa replied and halima became eager to know. --what should i do then?-- ~~there is this malam (foreseer).~~ --what do you mean hafsa? Malam? Boka? (A magician)?-- halima felt her heart racing. ~~don't misunderstand me halima. Foreseer is different from magician. The malam even used quran i swear --you see there is no harm. He will just recite the quran completely for you;you will pay him and she will not come again~~ Halima sighed heavily. Something is not right. She's not going into this mess. These were the type of malams that decieved alot of women. They claimed that they use Allah's words. Of course they used the quran but in the unappropriate way.

ee stared at the dark-y glow-y plump woman sitting majestically at one of her chairs. She stare at her intensely as though this was the first time she was seeing her. It was maama;dee was trying to understand what the woman vocalized seconds ago. " khadijah my daughter, these boxes belongs to one of my children who is getting married soon" maama had said when dee decided to overcame her curiousity. It sure killed the cat! Khaalifah who was perched on the the chair adjacent to maama's, wide his lips apart but the organ between them-- his tongue failed to formed words instead gave a way for his teeth to indicated their presence. The look made him looked like a thief who was caught red handed in the act. Dee knew that khalifah was maama's only male child. Or was another one given birth to--just yesterday and he had magically grown into a youth? Or does women all of a sudden started taking the boxes instead? perhaps it had been interchanged to--groom gifts. They just had no way to defend themselves! "Khadeejah dear..you misunderstood me" maama found a smile and plastered on her face after studying dee's expression for a while, she decided to loosened the atmosphere. "Ohh..yess..actually..you misunderstood maama. The boxes were my cousin's own and you see my cousin is like mama's child literally. There's no fault if she calls them her own right?" khalifah quickly closed the statement and of course it was his cousin's own. Dee smiled. It was obvious the smile was from the deepest part of her heart. "And i must thank you for keeping them safe my daughter. Hehhehe...you are a good girl and the perfect match for my son here--khalifah....hehehe" maama finished laughing but the suspicion was so cleared for a five year old to pointed out. "Thank you maama" she bowed even though the bump didn't allowed her to do so properly. "No problem my daughter. May you deliver safely... How many months left?" "Four months, two weeks" khalifah replied on her behalf. "Kai ne mara kunya ko? (You are the shameless one right)?" They laughed. "To Allah ya raba lafiya.(May Allah makes it easy for you. Safe delivery)" "Ameen" they chorused. Maama finished eating the jollof rice she was served earlier and rose to her feet. "I am going. And again i have bought some fabrics khalifatu come and collect them tomorrow" dee just looked at them trying to factor out something but they gave her no impression to do so. "Maama what is khalifatu.. It sounds girlish..." He whined. "Thank you for visiting maama" dee walked her to the gate and sauntered back inside. Khalifah marched behind maama's footstep and followed her out. He noticed she came on a public cab. Maybe she was going to the market fro
